Tamarindo is a very exclusive and luxurious resort, catering to people that want to get away from it all, and enjoy a truly paradise atmosphere with privacy. The villas are scattered about, each with its own pool and jacuzzi. They are available for $600-800 a night, depending on location and view. Wealthy newly-weds are frequent visitors to this tropical setting on Tenacatita Bay. SIESTA was anchored on the other end of this beautiful bay.

Richard and Kathy from the catamaran OUT OF AFRICA suggested we visit the resort together, explaining that we were scouting it for some friends and relatives who were looking for this kind of place. The red carpet was pulled out, and the hotel manager personally greeted us. We had an appointed guide who accompanied us through the grounds. It was a delightful visit, worthy of coverage in THE WORLD OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS television program.

In addition to the view above, in which the pool visually blends into the Bay with a subtle change of colors, and the view of the pristine Tenacatita Bay above, you can see (below) more pictures of the grounds, the huge lobby building, built in the open under a thatched roof, a group picture of the tourists, and a picture of a Mexican newly-wed couple, staying at the resort, who were very charming and friendly. We promised we would post their picture on the web.
