For our first visit to Puerto Vallarta, we stayed at Marina Vallarta, the closest marina to downtown and all the facilities. There is a more modern marina at Paradise Village, which is some distance away, but is reputed to be luxurious and cheaper. We will try that one the next time we visit PV. And we plan to return to PV several times during our time here in Mexico.

One of the advantages of staying at Marina Vallarta is that Mai and Volker Dolch have a beautiful home, right on the marina grounds. Mai and Volker hosted us to several wonderful outings while in PV. We even enjoyed the 2002 Superbowl game at their comfortable Spanish-style home.
