Barra Navidad is a beautiful, small beach town, with a well-protected lagoon, and a majestic hotel and marina complex.

When you arrive at the lagoon, you must check in with the port captain. Then you take a bus to Melaque, a nearby town, to pay the fees at the bank. You take the bus back to the port captain, showing your paid receipt, and he types up all the necessary forms. A half a day and you are done!
