Shepherd's Rest is currently owned by Steven Silverman of Fort Lauderdale. The boat is, as of the summer of 2001, located in Jacksonville, where it is undergoing a major refit.

Steven is preparing the boat for extensive offshore cruising. Its prior owner had made major changes in its interior layout (see below). The forward area was reconfigured with a den/computer room, in lieu of the standard location of the port forward head, and the head relocated forward near the forepeak. A "forward-looking" depth sounder transducer was installed as well.
